I like PV 28-21. Why? Because I'm an '87 graduate and a lifelong fan. I don't care about all the BS that will pop up. Don't get me wrong, I'm an armchair coach extraordinaire. But, I'm always shocked when PV loses. That's the sign of a true fan. How many of you old foul dudes wear your varsity jackets when you check the scores? How many of you remember Ron Juanso's picks in Mrs. Short's class? How many remember Poss before Phil? Enjoy the game and make sure to have a great time with your families. Especially you, PVFAN. I loved your overall analysis this week. One day I want to retire and move back to BSG and be as passionate about PV as Donnie and Stork. Stork is the only man I have ever talked to that takes (or used to take) time off to get "ready for the game." And he didn't even drink! And remember Peanut? The ultimate VIKING and fan.

I predict PV to win 21 to 20. This will be a different PV team from the Seymour. Now that they're back down to earth and should be doing some real work.

I guess you werent at the game, Powell Valley lost to a better team period. The score wasnt a very good indication of the game as I said in an earlier post, 2 bad punts, couple questionable 3rd down penalties and you fin yourself in a hole. Seymour wins that game, regardless of all those things, Lawson almost catches an incredible pass, and the game may have been different. I wouldnt say Powell Vally was "heads in the clouds" no more than they are in any other season, much like when Breathitt came in an embarrased the O-Line a couple seasons ago. It will most likely be the best thing for the Vikings, but its no need to go up in arms, you are still dealing with a relative young squad PT wise.

This game should be close, it could very well go either way. However, I do not think anyone needs to sleep on the Vikings, nor do I think Gate CIty needs to be written off. The fact is its a repeat of last year with the exception that Burton will have a chance to beat Gate City, that monkey is gonna come off sometime. Raiders, Vikings and Devils should be playing for the title, with those 2 of those 3 playing for at least Regional titles.

LMAO, got that right. The PV/Gate City game last year was hilarious.. can't remember whether it was the playoff game or just the game in the regular season, but I remember he was going crazy! He'd wave his hands in front of his face and shout out "YOU CANT SEE ME, YOU CANT SEE ME!" and then he'd brush off each shoulder every time Powell Valley would have something happen to them.

Not hardcore. I just remember the time in my life when a football game was the most important thing. To have that simplicity in my life, again, would be pure happiness. I remember chastising my dad when he left the state championship game against Powhatan because it was boring and too cold. I hope all you fans, PV or otherwise, appreciate how special Friday nights really are. ENJOY!

shouldve seen the guy at the GC/PV postseason game 04, got there about 2 and a half hours before it started (supposed to have been packed, and it was) and ole chris was out there already gettin pumped up..haha
he ran the hell outta that flag up and down the side lines, gate city fans gave him all he could take though
